We’re excited to announce that we’re opening our second restaurant in Helsinki – this time at Kamppi Shopping Centre.

Right now, we’re looking for new shift leaders, both full time and part time, to join us and help build an amazing team in our brand-new unit.

Shift Leader

About the role

As a Shift Leader, you are responsible for your shift. This means supporting the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager in their daily tasks and ensuring that the unit is operated according to company guidelines and values. You are also responsible for working with, evaluating, and actively identifying improvements within your area of responsibility. This is reported to the Restaurant Manager (RC) and Assistant Restaurant Manager (ASS).

If neither the Restaurant Manager nor the Assistant Restaurant Manager is on site, you are the person in charge. The role has a strong operational focus, where you are expected to work both in the kitchen and at the register (either 75/25 or vice versa), while maintaining Bastard Burgers’ standards for cleanliness, speed, service, and quality.

Requirements

• Education: No formal education required

• Experience: No previous experience required, but experience in service roles is considered a plus — preferably within the restaurant industry, with some experience in staff leadership

• Language skills: You speak either English or Finnish. Knowledge of both languages is considered an advantage

• Desired qualities and behaviours: We are looking for someone who is responsible and stress-resistant, has a positive attitude, shows commitment to Bastard Burgers, and preferably is already familiar with us

• Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

• Location: We prefer candidates who live close to the unit
